Am I A Good Candidate?
Please review the information below to determine if you are a good candidate for cosmetic tattoo services.
Any condition requiring medical clearance will need to have a doctor’s note to keep on file. Please have this with you at your appointment if needed, we will not be able to proceed with your appointment without it. You are NOT a good candidate for cosmetic tattooing if any of the following apply to you:
pregnant or nursing
under the age of 18
currently undergoing chemotherapy/radiation
active dermatologic disorders in the area to be tattooed
(i.e. rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, acne)
easily prone to keloids/scars/hyperpigmentation/hypopigmentation
sick with fever/virus/infection
active herpes anywhere on the face
Required waiting periods before you can get tattooed:
If any of the following information pertains to you, the required waiting period listed after is how long you must wait before getting tattooed. (ex. If you get botox on or around the brows, it is safest to wait 4 weeks after your last botox appt. before getting tattooed)
Botox/Dysport (4 weeks)
*if not happy with results, wait to book procedure until product has dissolved to desired results.
Fillers (4 weeks)
*if not happy with results, discuss with injector having product dissolved from filled area and then wait to book procedure until happy with desired results of filler.
Surgeries (please seek guidance from your surgeon; may require doctor’s clearance note)
Accutane full dose (1 year from end of use)
(half dose or prophylactic dose needs medical clearance)
Topical Acne cream - benzoyl peroxide, clindamycin, Pro-Active, etc.
(1 week before /after procedure)
Sunburned skin (2- 4 weeks depending on severity)
Aggressive skin treatments/peels (3 weeks)
(i.e. AHA, enzyme, retinol, vitamin C, etc.)
Laser Skin Resurfacing (4-8 weeks depending)
IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) ( 2 weeks)
Tattoo Removal (laser or saline) (6 months)
Skin lesions on or around desired area to be tattooed. (until healed and/or cleared by medical professional)
Vaccine/booster shots (minimum 2 weeks)

heart valves/ stents/ titanium rods/ screws/ pacemakers/ rheumatic fever
organ transplants
joint Replacements
insulin dependent diabetics
prone to fever blisters
shingles history
hyperthyroid/Grave’s Disease
seizures
long term blood thinners or steroids
Lupus/autoimmune disease
Blepharitus *CONTAGIOUS*
IMPORTANT: It is required that you consult with your physician prior to taking, altering, or stopping any form of medication and/or supplements, or making changes to your dosing cycles, etc.
**It is important to note that tattooing comes with risks that may or may not be anticipated, even if medical concerns do not exist for the client. Some risks include, but not limited to: bruising, hyper/hypo pigmentation, pigment migration, redness/irritation, etc. If you are concerned with these possible issues, please consult a physician for medical guidance.
