While laser is a great way to remove tattoo pigment in the skin, it is not the best option for everyone and is limited in its ability to remove every type/color of ink.

Saline removal is a safer and sometimes more effective technique to get rid of unwanted tattoo ink. It can be performed on all skin types and skin tones as well as remove pigment that is located under hair (ex. brows).

Unlike permanent makeup tattoos, there is no specific preparation for saline tattoo removal.

The way saline tattoo removal works is through the process of osmosis. A saline solution is tattooed in to the skin to pull out residual pigment. Bleeding and lymphatic fluid are to be expected immediately after the session and are helpful to the removal process.

Aftercare is rather simple so try not to overthink, however don’t forget it is open skin. Keeping products and bacteria away from the open area of the skin will help reduce the risk of irritation or possible infection.

Aftercare instructions are for the healing period only (typically 7-10 days). Once healed you may go back to your regular routine.

CLEANSE 2-3X A DAY.

Clean the area (morning|noon|night) with provided or recommended aftercare cleanser. Use a clean cotton round and dampen the cotton round with cleanser.

KEEP CLEAN.

Keep makeup and other topical products (that are NOT the recommended aftercare) away from the area while skin is healing.

Infection:

Infections are rare but always possible. Signs of infection include: fever, prolonged or severe pain, redness, and swelling in the immediate area, along with a warm/radiating heat sensation; sores that contain or release thick white or yellow fluid, hard red raised bumps or wounds, nausea, vomiting. If you think you have an infection seek medical attention immediately!
